What are the funding options available to parents in Ireland?
Helping to support parents with their childcare costs. 


The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE)

Provides early childhood care and education for all children in Ireland of pre-school age. Children are eligible for the ECCE scheme if they are aged over 3 years and not older than 5 and a half years. The scheme entitles your child to 3 hours a day for 5 days a week during the school year.

More Affordable Childcare - Launched September 2017

If your child is under 6 months old, you may qualify for a means-tested childcare subsidy of up to €145 per week.

Training & Employment Childcare Programme

The TEC Programmes is to support parents on eligible training courses and parents returning to work (in eligible categories), by providing subsidised childcare places.
